How are Blockchain technologies implemented by commercial banks? What is the regulatory framework?

It should be clear that the Bank of England has no intention of producing a digital currency, and we are only carrying out research into digital currencies and the technology that supports them, including Blockchain. Legal tender is also a matter for Parliament, not the Bank.
